Providing personal care in any daily tasks you or your loved one may need support with.
Personal care is help with everyday tasks such as washing, dressing, toileting and maintaining comfort and appearance. Visits are planned around the person’s needs and preferred routine, with the length and timing agreed in their care plan.
Support with daily living
- Washing, bathing, dressing and oral hygiene
- Toileting and continence support
- Skin care and help with getting ready for bed
- Safe movement and transfers where assessed and within the care plan
- Medicines support where assessed, agreed and within staff competence
We respect privacy and choice, encourage people to do what they can for themselves, and ask how they prefer support to be given. Clinical procedures require a separate assessment and appropriately trained staff; we will explain what we can provide before care begins.
